About Block Therapy
Block Therapy (created by Deanna Hansen, Athletic Therapist) is a bodywork practice that uses a specially designed block of wood to apply pressure to specific areas of the body. The goal is to release fascial restrictions, improve circulation, and promote healing by targeting deep tissue adhesions caused by trauma, poor posture, or stress. Practitioners lie on the block and breathe deeply, allowing gravity and focused pressure to help “melt” the fascia and restore proper alignment and function. It’s often used for pain relief, improved mobility, and body awareness.
Benefits those Practicing Block Therapy have Experienced:
- Fascial Release
- Improved Posture and Alignment
- Enhanced Circulation and Oxygenation
- Pain Reduction
- Stress and Anxiety Relief
- Core Strength and Diaphragm Training
- Cellular Rejuvenation and Detox
